A celebrity stylist has revealed how to make a hair growth mask made with two ingredients.
Both of the items she used for her hair care treatments are easily available in most people's kitchens.
Justine Marjan (@justinemarjan) boasts over 136,000 followers on TikTok, offering a glimpse into her Los Angeles-based career.
The hair expert, who has long, shiny black hair, revealed the DIY mask she swears by for her hair.
“One of my favorite natural hair treatments is using rice,” she says, holding a bag of grains in her hands.
“Add half a cup of rice to a bowl with a few cups of water.
“Let it sit overnight, then strain the rice.''
“Transfer the liquid into a bottle like this,” she said, showing me the applicator bottle.
“You can use a spray bottle, or if that's not an option, you can put it in a cup.”
After shampooing, Justine recommended applying rice water directly to your scalp, leaving it on for 20 minutes, then rinsing and using conditioner.

“This has an amazing effect on hair growth, prevents hair loss and increases hair strength and elasticity.
“Prevents hair breakage and split ends.”
“Rapunzel is shaking,” she added.
Over 13,000 people liked the video, and hundreds flocked to the comments section to try out the hack for themselves.

“Great!! Just white rice?” another person asked. “Yes!” Justine answered.
The use of rice rinse to promote hair growth and prevent gray hair has proven popular in many parts of Asia.
Proponents claim that it helps detangle hair, improve smoothness, increase shine, and strengthen hair.
Rice water is thought to contain vitamins and minerals such as amino acids, B vitamins, vitamin E, and antioxidants.
However, an article published by MedicalNewsToday suggests that most scientific evidence regarding this treatment is inconclusive.
Further research is needed to support anecdotal evidence regarding the benefits of rice water for hair.
