Check out our upcoming annual event, the Grant Seafood Festival. Touted as the longest-running seafood festival in the Southeast, this family-friendly festival not only features an abundance of seafood, but also arts and crafts and live entertainment over its two days.
The Grant Seafood Festival has been around for a long time. The event, now in its 57th year, is run entirely by his volunteers. In some families, that participation goes back four generations.
According to Grant Community Center President Charlie Christenson, time is not the only thing they share.
When is Grant Seafood Festival 2024?
The 57th Annual Grant Seafood Festival will be held March 2nd and 3rd.
The event will be held from 9am to 7pm on March 2nd and from 9am to 5pm on March 3rd.
Where is the Grant Seafood Festival?
The festival will be held at 4580 First St. in Grant.
Grant is a small community on the Indian River on Florida's east coast, approximately 16 miles south of Melbourne and 105 miles southeast of Orlando. Christenson said the town started as a small fishing village.

What is the Grant Seafood Festival?
What started as a community fish fry 57 years ago has grown into a seafood festival that will attract approximately 35,000 people in 2023.
“We would come together for community fish fries and cookouts, and the next thing we knew, there were 400, 500 people waiting for something to eat. They came from everywhere. Here we come,” Christenson said.
“Fifty years ago, it was a big deal to come to our little town from the north or the south.”
The 2024 Grant Seafood Festival will not only feature an abundance of fresh seafood prepared by the local community, but also live entertainment, more than 100 crafters from across the country, community service exhibits, and books from the Grant Library. will also be on sale.

How much does Grant Seafood Festival cost?
- free entrance
- Parking: Free
- Park at Valkaria Airport. Shuttles will run continuously to the festival site from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
- Festival tickets: $10 each. The “price” for most items is between 1 and 7 tickets.
- Please purchase tickets at the airport parking lot. We accept cash, credit, and debit cards on March 2nd and 3rd from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Proceeds go to scholarship funds and local projects
Proceeds from the Grant Seafood Festival benefit the Grant Seafood Festival Scholarship Fund, the Grant Community Library, the Grant Historical House, and the Grant Community Center.
“We award between $50,000 and $65,000 a year in scholarships” to children in Grant and the surrounding area, Christenson said. According to the website, more than $2 million in total scholarships have been awarded to date.
Are pets and chairs allowed at Grant Seafood Festival?
Portable camp chairs are permitted, but only without a canopy.
Dogs and other pets and animals are not permitted at the festival, except for service dogs that must wear vests and collars.
What else is prohibited at the Grant Seafood Festival?
Coolers, tents (canopies or pop-up tents), or umbrellas are not permitted. Parking at night is prohibited.
