Puma hoops and basketball superstar LaMelo Ball Introducing the first co-designed lifestyle shoe – lafrancais.
Created through a close collaboration between LaMelo Ball and the PUMA design team, LaFrancais takes its inspiration and name from LaMelo's namesake lifestyle brand, which combines various inspirations from streetwear fashion, sports and lifestyle.
The LaFrancais silhouette represents a new interpretation of Melo. A lofty, chunky street-inspired take on off-court fashion fueled by his ferocious flare and energy. An off-court icon, the LaFrance boasts an all-red fiery upper and chunky silhouette, and the “Amour” colorway pays homage to the bombastic aesthetic of Y2K Skate's culture. This is just the first of many of his LaFrancé colorways to come. LaFrance comes with several apparel items ranging from $40 to $110, including graphic T-shirts, mesh tanks, shorts, and track pants.
Noah Bice (Puma hoop designer at LaFrancais), who takes shoe design seriously, says: From chains to logos to cars, men live big! So we had to achieve a silhouette that fit that profile. The skate-inspired chunky upper and cupsole felt like the obvious sweet spot for Melo's first lifestyle shoe. ”
