A Gen Z father couldn't stop laughing as his daughter and her co-workers tried to explain to TikTok viewers what they do at their family's company.
The adorable father-daughter duo work for the same Southern California structural steel manufacturing company. His father, Steve Pennacchio, is a vice president and his daughter, Julia Pennacchio, 26, is an office administrator, according to the video. It has been viewed over 745,000 times.
“I get asked a lot on TikTok what I do at work, so I thought it would be good for you to be in a video to explain what I do,” Julia said. He spoke as a father. And her boss sat next to her and ate her lunch.
The daughter then teases her father/boss with her job description.
“First of all, when I was very young, just like when I was growing up, I knew I wanted to work here. I've always had a big passion for structural steel,” said Julia, whose father joked in the clip while eating a salad.
“I've always had a huge passion for structural steel, and I really like the design aspect of it,” she continued.
Steve's father stared at her in disbelief, then they both lost their composure and laughed at her sarcasm.
Julia then described some of the construction projects the company has completed: three luxury stores for Chanel, Rolex, and Bvlgari on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills.
“I'm really involved in all of that. A lot of paintings have been sent to me. So the guys will ask my opinion on a lot of the work,” she deadpans, before saying, Her father chuckled, and she started laughing too.
“Why is it so funny?” she asked.
“What else are you going to do?” Steve answered.
The daughter then explained that her father was the vice president of the company.
“So I do a lot of the same things he does,” she said, and her father laughed even more.
“I'm definitely the acting vice president, like when he goes on vacation,” Julia joked, explaining that her actual title is “executive room manager.”
Steve nodded as his daughter explained that he handles much of the day-to-day work, but then started laughing again when his daughter said that he manages the staff and brings “a lot of work” to the company.
Like a true self-aware “Nepobaby,” Julia captioned her TikTok post with the cheeky caption, “I too am Employee of the Month for all 12 months of the year. ” he added.
Commenters also got a good laugh from the father-daughter pair.
“Apparently Steve doesn't know everything you do for the company. He needs to give you a raise,” one woman joked under the video.
“This is the cutest thing I've ever seen,” another commented.
VP Steve also appears in other clips on his daughter's TikTok account.
In one video, Julia features “Today's Work Clothes” and shares details about where each garment comes from.
However, Steve wasn't too keen on sharing details of his fit.
“We're back,” the Zer generation tells the camera.
“No, we're not,” her father quickly followed, smiling at the camera and at his daughter.
