Camilla, Mall at Short Hills, Short Hills, NJ
The luxury resort and ready-to-wear brand, famous for its colorful prints, is expanding throughout the United States.
Founded by Australian designer and artist Camilla Franks, Camilla makes its East Coast debut with a luxurious, detailed 2,000 square foot store. She shops at The Mall in Short Hills, N.J. This is her fourth U.S. location for the company. Merrick Park in Coral Gables, Florida. South Coast Plaza, Costa Mesa, California; and Aventura Mall in Miami.
The new 2,000 square foot store is in line with Camila's strategic expansion plans. The company plans to open 20 stores in the U.S. over the next four years.
Dubbed the “Hotel of Curiosity,” the Short Hills store features the brand's signature prints, hand-drawn or painted by artists. Women's and men's clothing are displayed above brass totem animal details embedded in the wooden floor. Columns decorated with Camila's iconic prints display shoes, sunglasses and homewares.
The space includes a champagne bar with chairs upholstered in branded prints and a vintage train-style area decorated with images of the founder's travels. A section dedicated to children and babies features small-sized fixtures, 3D soft animals, and custom coloring. Stations are fully equipped with mini boxes of healthy popcorn.
In addition to 27 stores and e-commerce sites worldwide, Camilla operates is sold through luxury department stores and boutiques around the world, including Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Harrods, Bergdorf Goodman, Farfetch, Matches, Revolve and Net-a-Porter. The brand is also featured in over 40 luxury hotels.
