Actor Jamie Foxx, 56, has been eating healthy and practicing a new lifestyle that includes meditation after being rushed to the hospital with a health scare in April 2023.
A year after suffering a health scare, Jamie Foxx is embracing a new lifestyle and is determined to put his “party animal” days behind him, a source said.
The Oscar winner is said to have changed as a person after overhauling his life and revamping his friend list to stay healthy. The 56-year-old was hospitalized in April 2023 after contracting an undisclosed illness while working on Back in Action in Atlanta, Georgia.
The following month, Jamie thanked fans for “all the love” and admitted he felt “blessed” to still be here. Now back at work, he appeared to be on top of the world, winning an award from the African American Film Critics Association in March.

A source told Radar Online that Jamie is currently focused on staying healthy. A source said: “Jamie has a long history of being a mainstay of the party, but he's ready to put those days behind him.”
The source added that Jamie knows he “needs to get healthy once and for all” and has changed his eating habits and cut out “bad influences” from his friendships. “After winning the Oscar for Ray, he was so out of control that his Hollywood friends had to step in,” the source revealed. “He has come clean with his actions, but he has never been completely ruthless, and over the years it has taken a heavy toll.

In December, the Django Unchained star was seen fighting back tears as he spoke publicly for the first time about his traumatic illness. Jamie took to the stage at the Critics Choice Association Awards to give a 12-minute speech, fighting back tears as he admitted he was so sick he could no longer walk.
