Sending a big mahalo to Senator Mike Gabbard and Representatives for introducing and voting yes on Senate Concurrent Resolution 101 to support a plant-based lifestyle. It encourages citizens to make healthy choices. The selection takes into account nutritional, environmental, animal and plant-based building materials.
Our country is facing a serious health crisis due to obesity and other chronic diseases. The science is clear. A plant-based diet can help prevent and/or reverse the most common chronic diseases: acne, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, erectile dysfunction, heart disease, stroke, cancer, inflammation, chronic pain, and obesity.
Informed personal choices are even more important as diabetes and obesity are on the rise in children. Plant-based options in schools allow our keiki to choose health, environmental stewardship, and compassion for animals.
