9 Payment Service Bank, one of the digital payment service banks in Nigeria, encourages its employees to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
This is reflected in the “My Health, My Rights'' theme, “Promoting Peace as a Precondition for Equitable Health'', facilitated by the AXA Mansard Wellness Team to commemorate this year's World Public Health Week. This was revealed in a webinar entitled.
Featuring a series of activities, Health Week aims to educate and raise awareness among staff about the factors that determine healthy living and positive wellbeing.
Commenting on this year’s theme, Blanca Murakajac, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of 9 Payment Services Bank, said: Achieving a rewarding life-work balance is of paramount importance and cannot be taken lightly.
“The well-being of every individual is determined by the choices made every day and the intentional efforts fueled by missions, actions, and decisions to achieve desired outcomes.”
Mrakajak said there is always a price to be paid for every good outcome, adding that self-control needs to be instilled in everyone's daily life.
He advised the company's staff to take appropriate measures to avoid poor lifestyle habits that have a negative impact on health.
“As the saying goes, ‘health is wealth.’ Therefore, there is no reason why we should not take our health seriously. As an organization, we provide health insurance for all of our staff, as required by law. and work with designated health care organizations to ensure access to health care for all staff.
“As we continue to grow, we will continue to take great care of our human capital as it is key to the success of our organization,” he assured employees.
Global Public Health Week is an annual event hosted by the World Federation of Public Health Associations that brings together institutions, communities, and public health stakeholders from around the world to recognize the contributions of public health and its workforce.
The day also aims to spark discussion about best practices and gaps that are fundamental to preventing disease and promoting health and well-being around the world.
