Today, The Sun is excited to launch Lifestyle, a new subjective division dedicated to highlighting student life, advising and the personal experiences of the Cornell University community.
“Lifestyle” divides our coverage into several categories: Dining, Social, Housing, and Sunspot (a roundup of other campus and academic discussions). Take, for example, criticism of how Cornell University handled housing last year and a discussion of the pros and cons of various dormitories. If you wonder which classes are underrated and which ones are overrated, you need look no further than lifestyle. In the coming weeks and months, we'll be incorporating Sex Thursdays and a new advice column into the division. We will also focus on multimedia content, including an admissions podcast and housing video series. We're very excited about our current projects, so stay tuned for future releases and announcements. All in all, we want Lifestyle to be a place you feel comfortable going to for any pressing questions or advice you may have related to Cornell University.
Over the next few weeks, we'd like to hear your thoughts on lifestyle. If you have burning questions, reporting ideas, or other thoughts, send us a new email ([email protected]). If you'd like to get involved and write, fill out the form and check out our Instagram for job openings. We know that the lifestyle can be as exciting as our contributors, and we want to highlight voices and perspectives that reflect the whole student body.
So whether you're hoping to become our next Lifestyle Editor or just read our articles from time to time, we'd love to hear from you and help you plan your journey. I'll show you what I'm doing.
