Cole Hauser is mourning the death of his mother, Kath Sperling Warner.
of yellowstone Hauser, known for playing Rip Wheeler on Paramount's hit series, shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram Thursday that his mother has passed away at the age of 76. Although he did not reveal the cause of his death, he paid tribute to his mother in his sweet post. This included taking photos while riding horses in the countryside.
“Her kindness, love, humor and great spirit will be missed not only by my family but by the world,” he captioned the post. “You have touched so many people. I know you are in heaven sitting next to all the great humans who have passed through our earth. I hope to see you again soon. Let’s go. Goodbye for now ❤️”

according to her website, Hauser's mother was a third-generation film director. Her father was Milton Sperling, a two-time Oscar-nominated screenwriter and producer. Her mother, Betty Warner Sheinbaum, was an artist and political activist. Mr. Warner's grandfather, Harry Warner, was the first president and one of the founders of Warner Bros.
In 1993 she published a book Hollywood, Thy Name – Warner Bros. Story, a personal offering of her family's deep roots in Hollywood. She updated this book in her 2008 and changed the title to: warner brothers, became a bestseller. This book later became the basis for her feature documentary. warner brothers, which she wrote, produced, narrated, and directed. That documentary aired on PBS for years and featured interviews with Dennis Hopper, Samuel Goldwyn Jr., Debbie Reynolds, Roy Disney Jr., and more.
Warner had four children: Hauser, daughter Vanessa, daughter Tao, and son Jesse.
