Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin said artificial intelligence could help Ethereum developers identify bugs and validate their code.
“One of the applications of AI that excites me is the use of AI to formally verify code and find bugs,” Buterin writes in X. post on monday. “Right now, Ethereum's biggest technical risk is probably code bugs, and anything that could significantly change the game on top of that would be surprising.”
Buterin published his latest comments on AI after writing a blog post About last month divided into four directions Virtual currency and AI may overlap. “In general, the underlying mechanisms will continue to be broadly designed as before, but the use cases where individual players become AI and enable mechanisms to operate effectively on a more micro scale will most immediately become It's promising and the easiest to get right,” he said.
As Buterin pointed out in his post, one of the special challenges in cryptography is that open source is the only way to make something truly secure. However, in AI, open models make them much more vulnerable to adversarial machine learning attacks.
AI and Web3
Analysts believe that the combination of AI and Web3 innovations will A thriving cryptocurrency subsector Nansen analyst Sandra Leow highlighted the development of AI agents, an area that combines elements of AI and Web3.
“We can foresee a world where AI agents become the dominant category of users on blockchains, examples of which include verification management applications using zero-knowledge learning technologies like Modulus Labs.” Leow told The Block in December.
