The Tucson Festival of Books, in collaboration with the Tucson Folk Festival, is launching a new Songwriter Stage as part of its entertainment lineup.
Jeb Schoonover, a longtime Tucson acoustic music promoter, came up with the idea, and he says it's a perfect collaboration with the book festival.
“This is a perfect fit because it has a natural connection to writing,” he said in a news release.
The Tucson Folk Festival Songwriters Stage is one of six TFOB stages located throughout the University of Arizona Mall, drawing tens of thousands of people to the two-day book festival on Saturday, March 9th and Sunday, March 10th. Masu.
Each stage will feature a different musical style from dozens of Tucson and area bands, from jazz and blues to country and rock, and will also incorporate klezmer and mariachi, folk and Americana.
