Patricia Richardson has slammed Tim Allen's campaign to reunite Home Improvement.
Tim, 70, recently claimed that the original cast was interested in a reboot of the sitcom, which aired from 1991 to 1999, but co-star Patricia, 73, trolled his claims.
On the “Back to the Best” podcast, she said, “How on Twitter or something, he came out publicly and everyone was a part of having a 'Home Improvement' reunion?” “I often heard him say things like this about what he was doing. But he never said it.”he never asked Jonathan. [Taylor Thomas, who played middle child Randy]. I called Jonathan one day and said, “Has he asked you about this?” And he said, “No.” Why is he not talking to you or me, yet he keeps telling everyone that we are in it? ” I think that’s weird. He lied to people and said I was on it and didn't know anything about it.
“I don't want to do that. I mean, Zack.” [Ty Bryan, who played oldest son Brad] Now I'm a felon… Taran. [Noah Smith, who played youngest son Mark] He hasn't acted since he left the show…Jonathan isn't really interested in acting…and neither is Wilson. So if we did that without doing that, [the late] earl [Hindman]And we only have two kids – maybe if that's the case – it's not [same] Show me everything. ”
Meanwhile, Tim previously insisted he was still close with the cast and was looking forward to the hour-long reunion special.
He told TVLine: “I think about it all the time because I still talk to everyone involved. The question I have is, 'Does it still make sense? Does Tim Taylor make sense?' .”I'm saying that.
“I like the idea of doing it as a one-off, like an hour-long movie.” [versus a full-fledged revival series]. I like the idea of finding out where the boys are now and where “Tool Time” is in today's world. ”
