Fracture Mechanics Workshop | Louisiana Digital Media Center Theater
This workshop is hosted by the LSU Center for Computational Technology. Experts in fracture mechanics based on experiments and calculations will give lectures to students and faculty. They learn about computational fracture mechanics, scientific machine learning, and more. There is no cost and you can register here.
LSU Libraries Host Lawn Games | LSU Library Front Lawn
In preparation for the arrival of spring, LSU Libraries is hosting lawn games for students to de-stress and participate on the lawn in front of the library. In addition to playing a variety of games, you will also receive information about services offered by LSU Libraries. The event will be held from 1-3 p.m. and is free for all students. LSU Libraries Host Dog Therapy | LSU Libraries
As midterm exams approach, the LSU Library Programming Committee will host dog therapy to help students relax. This will be held in the main library building and there will be plenty of dogs for students to interact with. This event will be held from 11pm to 1pm. Learn more about.
LSU Relaxation Room | LSU Library
LSU Libraries will be hosting a Relaxation Room in Room 241A of the Main Library from 12:00 PM to 9:00 AM through March 15th. There are lots of stress-free and related activities such as coloring, games, puzzles, stress balls, and relaxing music. Please see here for the detail.

Red Stick Farmers Market | Pennington Biomedical Research Center
The Red Stick Farmers Market will be held at the Pennington Biomedical Research Center from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. The event welcomes students, faculty and staff and will feature fresh produce, flowers and more. Vendors include Chenier Farms, Chris and Camille's Family Farm, and Cicada Calling Farm. Learn more about.
LSU Symphonic Band Performance | LSU Union Theater
The LSU Symphonic Band will feature Matthew Vangel, associate professor of trumpet, and will perform an arrangement of the Irish melody “Believe Me, If All That Enearing Young Charms,” among other performances. The event begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Union Theater. Admission is $18 for adults and $11 for students. Tickets are available here.

Merry Market in March | Merry Market
Merry Market hosts a farmers market with more than 260 vendors at the Lamar Dixon Expo Center. Local Baton Rouge businesses will sell clothing, jewelry, home decor, toys, produce, art and more. The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and tickets are $10 for adults and free for children under 10. Tickets can be purchased. Either here or at your doorstep.
Holi Festival in Downtown Baton Rouge | Repentance Park
This two-day Holi celebration will be held in downtown Baton Rouge from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. This is traditionally an Indian festival, and many Louisianans celebrate different cultures and backgrounds during the parade. Free for students and their families. Learn more about.

“Pilobolus” | Baton Rouge Ballet Theater
Baton Rouge Ballet Theater presents “Pilobolus” in partnership with Manship Theater at the Shaw Center for the Arts. This will be held at Baton Rouge Ballet Theater at 2pm and 7:30pm. Tickets range from $44 to $64 and can be purchased here.
Thrill Bill Fair | Airline Highway Park
Airline Highway Park will host “world-class entertainment” including sea lions, a circus, a petting zoo, an amusement park, carnival games, and fair food. Opens at 1 p.m., admission is $10, and free for children under 36 inches tall, seniors 65 and older, and active duty and veterans. Unlimited ride tickets are $35.
