LOS ANGELES — Breathe in, breathe out. Imagine a world where anxiety is eliminated.
In the year 14,002 AD, two alien surgeons face the possibility of eradicating anxiety in the Ergulon Galaxy, but at what cost?
“The Second Best Hospital in the Galaxy” follows Dr. Sleach and Dr. Krack as they battle anxiety-eating parasites, illegal time loops, and sexually transmitted diseases in deep space. And as the best friends take on a groundbreaking case, their very existence is at risk.
Cirocco Dunlap, who serves as showrunner, writer and executive producer, told Spectrum News that the show was born out of his personal experience of experiencing anxiety like most of us.
“The first therapist told me to start taking anxiety medication and I started crying and said no. The second therapist told me to start taking anxiety medication and I said OK That changed my life. “It's not taboo. So let's talk about it. You're not a weirdo just because you get it. Also, who doesn't have it?” she said.
“We all struggle with that a little bit. And when you have depression or some type of mental illness, it's very difficult to live in this world without it. The sooner we This is going to be… it's great, it makes it easier for all of us to get around,” Dunlap said.
The series also stars Emmy Award nominee Natasha Lyonne, Academy Award nominee Stephanie Hsu, KeKi Palmer, Emmy Award winner Kieran Culkin, and Grammy Award winner Sam Smith.
