Resorts World Theater has collaborated with an Oscar-winning film composer.
Hans Zimmer Tickets go on sale March 22 at 10 a.m. Pacific time at hanszimmerlive.com. The show is part of Zimmer's first North American tour in seven years.
Zimmer is best known for scoring feature films such as The Lion King, Gladiator, The Dark Knight trilogy, Dune, and Dune Part 2. She won an Oscar for Best Original Score in 1995 for The Lion King and in 2022 for Dune.
He has also won four Grammy Awards and three Golden Globe Awards.
The newly arranged material includes music from these films, as well as Pirates of the Caribbean, Interstellar and The Last Samurai.
Zimmer performs with an 18-piece band and full orchestra. His most recent US performance was at Coachella in 2017. His recent UK tours were consistently sold out.
“I come from a rock and roll background and I believe in putting on a show,” the 66-year-old composer said in an interview with The Associated Press. “People stay with us because we're giving them experiences they've never had before. … Life is hard. Life is tough these days. And people work hard. They worked and paid for the tickets, so we better make sure we put on a show that they absolutely deserve to come see us.”
