Taylor Swift says she has 'nothing to take revenge' after releasing 'The Tortured Poets Division'.
The 34-year-old singer released her long-awaited new album on Friday (April 24, 19), with lyrics referencing the end of her six-year relationship with Joe Alwyn and a brief fling with Matty Healy. Although there are multiple examples, she claimed that: She has now moved on and has “no score to settle” with anyone.
“The Tortured Poets section. An anthology of new works reflecting the events, opinions, and emotions of a fleeting, fatalistic moment that was both sensational and equally sad,” Taylor wrote on Instagram.
“This period of the author's life is already over, the chapter is closed and boarded up. There is nothing to take revenge, no score to settle once the wounds heal.”
And while the “Karma” hitmaker, who is currently dating Travis Kelsey, said some of her scars were “self-inflicted,” she has now opened up about the pain she felt while writing the song. He said he was released.
Furthermore, she added: “And upon reflection, it turns out that many of them were self-inflicted. This writer firmly believes that our tears become sacred in the form of ink on a page. . After we have told our saddest stories, we can be free from it.
“And all that remains is poetry full of agony.
“The tortured poet category is already out. (sic).”
Taylor released the record at midnight, then surprised fans two hours later (at a time she's hinted at several times this week) by revealing that the project is actually a double album. .
She wrote on Instagram: “2am surprise. 'The Tortured Poets Division' is a secret DOUBLE album. I've written a lot of tortured poems over the past two years and wanted to share them all with you. So, I'm posting the second part of TTPD here.'' : Anthology. 15 additional songs of hers. And now the story is no longer mine…it's all yours. ”
