Selena Gomez “hopes” to release a new album in 2024.
The 31-year-old star, who recently released her new single “Love On” after gifting fans with “Single Soon” over the summer, gave fans an update on her upcoming record.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Selena admitted that while she “hopes” the new collection will be released later this year, she's not completely sure yet.
However, she reflected on her recent singles and insisted they also stand alone, despite fan speculation that they might feature prominently on her next LP.
She explained: “It's safe to say that 'Single Soon' and 'Love On' may not really reflect the projects I'm working on.
“They're great mentally, but I'm excited to explore more musical styles and hopefully people will be surprised by the contrast.
“I like to release songs that I love and cherish. I just released them to the world and then a full album will be released.”
She said that while “both are isolated in their messages,” they still “certainly support their respective positions.”
“Love On” was completed during an exciting two-month stay in Paris, and was created by songwriter and frequent collaborator Julia, with whom he has worked since his 2015 album “Revival.” – Reunited with Michaels.
She said: “I don't think there would be a world where I would start cracking the code of the album without Julia.
“She and I have a soul connection and sometimes we are going through things in our lives at the same time.
“She really understands my voice, so we try to create songs that put a fun and unique spin on it.”
The 'Only Murders in the Building' star recently hinted that his next album could be his last, but now he's taking a different stance.
She added: “It's not a 'no, never'.” [to music]I'd rather explore that world [of film and TV] Wait a little longer and you'll have time to actually do it. ”
