We spent two nights at Gran Destino Tower at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort.
My luxury tower room is only $34 more than a standard room.
It felt like a luxurious experience at an affordable price. I also liked the interior.
I'm always on the lookout to find the best deals at Disney World.
Since Coronado Springs Resort reopened in 2019 with the addition of Gran Destino Tower, it has become a top choice. I think you can enjoy the feeling of a luxury resort at a reasonable price.
I always stay in a standard room. But he asked me in January, out of pure curiosity, how much more would a room in the Grandestino Tower cost than his $103 a night reservation? I expected the answer to be a few hundred dollars.
To my surprise, the upgrade was only about $30.
Our 2 day stay at $137/night was like this.
The room was luxurious.
While staying at Gran Destino Tower, I was able to fully enjoy the feeling of living in luxury.
The tower room, with two queen beds, seemed much larger than other rooms I've stayed in at the resort. There was actual closet space and a full length mirror, which I've never seen in standard rooms in the main resort area.
I'm not very picky about what kind of room I stay in at Disney, but I have to say this is one of my favorites of the entire property.
The Disney decor wasn't all that impressive.
Standard rooms are themed after the movie Three Caballeros, featuring Donald Duck. You can't ignore the fact that Panchito Pistols, Jose Carioca, and more are staying on Disney property.
However, my room in the tower had a modern Spanish design with less Disney-inspired elements.
I love Disney, but I liked seeing the beautiful mosaic tiles instead of the Donald Duck paintings.
One of my favorite features of the guest room is the large floor-to-ceiling windows.
The tower offers views of the resort or Disney parks (Epcot and Hollywood Studios). We ended up staying two nights, changing rooms halfway through and enjoying both options.
In the morning, we people-watched while enjoying breakfast, and in the evening we watched Epcot's fireworks from the comfort of our beds.
I thought the view alone was worth the extra $30.
The tower is close to most facilities.
Depending on your room's location in the tower, it may take a 10-minute walk to reach the Coronado Springs lobby.
But it's very useful if you want to get the most out of it. resort amenities There are also restaurants close to the tower.
I was able to use the resort's amenities.
The resort is huge. Fortunately, there are multiple pools in different sections, so a guest is usually at least close to one pool.
But the main mayan ruins theme The pool is near the tower. It features a slide, hot tub, children's activities, a variety of games, and a walk-up bar.
There was a pool right across from our room, which was very convenient.
We appreciated having several eateries near the tower.
Restaurants like Toledo, Three Bridges Bar and Grill, Rix Sports Bar, Dahlia Lounge, Maya Grill, and El Mercado de Coronado are all located in and around Gran Destino Tower.
Florida is humid and the weather is unpredictable, so I was grateful that I didn't have to walk outside for dinner.
If you are over the age of 21 going to Three Bridges, I highly recommend trying the Sangria Flight.
Coronado Springs Resort may be the best value accommodation at Disney World properties.
No matter which room you stay at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort, I think it's a great value.
However, the Grand Destino Tower offers larger rooms, easy access to amenities, and great views for just $30 more per night.
