Specialist insurer Beasley has appointed Melissa Carmichael (pictured) as head of US cyber with immediate effect.
Carmichael brings more than 25 years of industry experience to Beasley, coming from Aon where he served as managing director and specialty and middle market leader.
More than 16 of those 25 years were spent at Marsh, where he served as managing director and finance and professional responsibility practice leader in New York.

The new head of U.S. Cyber, based in New York, will report to Paul Buntic, Head of Global Cyber Risk.

In the United States, Beazley Underwriters focuses on creating a variety of specialty insurance products. In admitted markets, coverage is provided by Beazley Insurance Company, an A-rated carrier licensed in all 50 states, and its subsidiary Beazley America Insurance Company.
In the surplus lines market, coverage is provided by Beasley Excess Surplus Insurance and Lloyd's Beasley Syndicate.
