The Righetti High School Drama Club will present the musical romantic comedy “Mamma Mia” on March 22nd and 23rd at 7pm (1pm matinee on March 23rd) in the school's Black Box Theater RM. 403.
Mamma Mia is a jukebox experience set on a Greek island. The show uses ABBA songs to tell the story of a curious bride and her three possible fathers who discover her mother's diary. She invites the three to the wedding without telling her mother.
“It was such an honor to be a part of this program,” Righetti senior Jena Rodarte said. “The opportunity to showcase diverse perspectives in art was truly inspiring and motivating.
“It is nothing short of amazing to witness the hard work of everyone involved in creating a masterpiece. I strongly believe that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the incredible magic this show has to offer.” I believe,” she said.
“The music and choreography are as great as anything you've seen on a big stage, but in Black Box, we'll draw you into the action, painting 360-degree views and inviting you into a secluded Greek setting.” said the RHS drama teacher. Elesa Carlson.
“This show is amazing,” said sophomore Kendra Knocke, technical director and lighting designer. This is only my second play with him, but it's incredible to see our little theater change and really come to life in such a short amount of time.
“The actors have worked hard to embrace their inner disco dance queen/king. I was able to work in the booth and help paint the stage floor, so this “It's one of the best experiences I've ever had,” she said.
