Hey Bachelor Nation, we have some things to talk about. Yes, I wholeheartedly admit that I watched season 28 of “The Bachelor” (my biggest thanks to my roommate for investing in me). Honestly, if you haven't seen it, you're completely missing out. Joey and Kelsey A. will live happily ever after (as I express here), but what about all the other women introduced this season?
Viewers had some twists and turns this season, but in the end, we got a bachelorette who can legally be friends with all of her ex-boyfriends in the best way possible. I'll admit that Joey's energy doesn't match that of the leading ladies most of the time, but we're all here to watch this drama anyway, right?
It's time to look back on this season with a keen eye. Welcome, dear reader, to our ranking of “The Bachelor” contestants.
31-15.Henri Markables
Zoe, Taliyah, Sandra, Samantha, Sam, Nat, Lainey, Kayla, Kayla, Chandler, Lauren, Taylor, Marlena, Erica, Starr, Evalyn, Chrissa
I understand this may seem like a large group, but there's no way any of these women will stand out. Yes, there were sisters who were on the show at the same time this season, but they hadn't gotten that far yet. Hopefully they were able to get a decent group rate on their return flight. I'll stand firm and say that if siblings are the most attention-grabbing quality of this group, then obviously there won't be any breakout stars born as a result of their participation on “The Bachelor.” .
14-12. What is your name again?
Edwina, Alison, Autumn
These three have made it relatively far through the season, but I don't seem to remember them completely. Is it simply because they felt like a bridge between an obscure category and a place where things really start to get better, or is it simply because I don't remember their interactions with Joey and the other women very well? I don't know, but no one felt that way. Exceptional here. There was nothing against them because it meant they didn't cause any problems like the other contestants (oh don't worry, I'll be sure to explain about that later), but they Nor did it really have a positive impact.
11-9. The Season Villains
Leah, Sydney and Caitlin
It might be a little dramatic to call them villains, but these women have been at the center of virtually every issue and conflict this season. From Sidney's unsolicited bullying claims to Leah's baseless rudeness (because the words I use would never make it into print) to Caitlin's overall unpleasant attitude, these women are The season wasn't doing it for anyone. They stirred the pot and created the drama we know and love, The Bachelor, but in reality, this was simply unnecessary for all three of them. I cheered louder every night than when no individual in this group was given a rose. It was Joey's symbolic act to keep Sidney hopeful just to get her home.
8-5. Justice for them
Lexi, Jess, Kelsey T., Madina
All of these women retired far too soon. Lexi knew she wasn't right for her, she had the courage to leave the season voluntarily, and we at Bachelor Nation root for her. I hope she gets the ending she deserves. Kelsey T. didn't leave by her own means, but she is certainly someone who continued to do just fine. The conversations she had with Joey were some of the most sincere and it was definitely sad to see her go, and the same goes for Madina. And then there's poor Jess. She was completely blindsided by being sent home long before the rose ceremony was scheduled. Believe me I was shocked when that happened. Because that's not what Joey's viewers knew. An exceptional woman, just a bad environment.
4. Not My Rachel Green
Rachel was the frontrunner on this season of The Bachelor and ended up coming in third overall, but she wasn't my cup of tea. I'm willing to partially blame this on the show's producers, who cut out some of the more memorable parts of her and Joey's relationship. Rachel basically showed up out of nowhere one day and she continued until she was sent home. She wasn't my favorite, but I think the show did her a disservice.
3. And then there's Maria.
I have very mixed feelings about Maria. Even though she's a favorite on the show among Bachelor Nation, something always seemed off to me. I admire her for being so honest in her reactions to Joey and the other women, but there came a point when her antics went too far. We can all agree that her timing was completely planned and perfect as she pulled Joey aside seconds before the rose ceremony began. But I admire her for going out with her dignity. Expect to see more of Malia on Bachelor Nation in the near future.
2. Make way for the new single person.
Jen was one of my favorites from the beginning. Her humor made her memorable and her thoughtfulness helped show more sides of her. I, along with the rest of Bachelor Nation, look forward to watching Jen hopefully get the love story she deserves as the new Bachelorette. see you soon!
1. Queen
Daisy. This might be enough for her to say, but she had so much more she wanted to do. When she learned that Joey would not propose, she left of her own volition. But what is most admirable about her is her grace. She stuck by Kelsey A and had no hard feelings towards her and Joey's continued relationship. Plus, Daisy was just a real person all season. There are hiccups in her final days compared to her competitors, but everything seems to have worked out in the end. For now, I will continue to follow her on social media.
There you have it, all 32 contestants from season 28 of “The Bachelor” have been ranked and sorted. Until the next season of The Bachelor series begins, we will be waiting to see what the show will do next.
