An outdoor entertainment venue will open in Fort Myers later this month. Bay Street Yard will open to the public on May 30th from its location on Bay Street.
The business will feature two full-service bars serving craft beer and artisan beverages, and three permanent food trucks will serve unique cuisine exclusively for Bay Street Yard, according to a statement.
It also provides entertainment, including a covered stage for live performances and an 8-by-13-foot LED television screen for viewing televised events.
Outdoor games such as giant Jenga, cornhole, ping pong, and bocce are also available for those who wish to play.
Bay Street Yard has space for over 300 people in the main part of the venue, and a VIP area in the second floor loft that can accommodate up to 451 people for private events.
With shipping containers, greenery, and lighting setting the mood, the venue's theme is both park-like and urban chic.
“Bay Street Yard will be a place for socializing and entertainment,” Bay Street Yard co-owner David Frye said in a statement. “We are excited to bring this new experience to Southwest Florida.”
Mr. Fry also co-owns Babcock Farms and Dwell Florida, a construction company that creates indoor and outdoor living spaces. His Bay Street Yard co-owner is former Fort Myers Mayor Randy Henderson, who was elected three times before retiring in 2020 and is owner of the commercial real estate firm Corbin Henderson.
Bay Street Yard is located at 2136 Bay St. Daylight savings time is from 4pm to midnight on Mondays and Thursdays. Friday and Saturday from 4pm to 2am. Sundays from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
