Second annual IBM-Microsoft hackathon expands collaboration
Last year, IBM Consulting and Microsoft collaborated with client teams to tackle real-world business challenges using Azure OpenAI Service in the first IBM-Microsoft hackathon. The results showed how innovative this technology is. For example, during the course of a hackathon last year, IBM Consulting and Microsoft worked on a use case with Julius Baer Bank to efficiently process and summarize financial reports while automatically creating audio versions of the reports. Addressed the need for more personalized content for customers.
Additionally, IBM Consulting and Microsoft collaborated with Wintershall Dea to implement a knowledge extraction tool designed for information retrieval within Wintershall Dea's vast knowledge base. The team developed a user-friendly tool that integrates OCR and Microsoft Azure OpenAI. This eliminates the need for manual references. As a result, users can easily search for valuable insights across their organization.
Building on last year's success, we're excited to share that IBM Consulting and Microsoft launched our second client-focused hackathon last month, alongside the launch of the IBM-Microsoft Experience Zone. The hackathon brought together over 350 participants, including customers and experts from IBM, Neudesic, Bluetab, and Microsoft, to leverage Microsoft Copilot to improve customer productivity, unleash creativity, and streamline business processes. Explore and build solutions that can help you.
Each of these initiatives builds on our momentum as partners. We have a shared commitment to co-invest, co-create and co-deliver joint solutions for our customers, and we look forward to the future of our partnership. Clients benefit from generative AI and enterprise-wide hybrid cloud.
