Award recognizing best-in-class organizations that demonstrate excellence, leadership and innovation
Minneapolis and St. Louis Paul – Sports Business Journal (SBJ) today announced the nominees for the 2024 Sports Business Awards, with the Minnesota Timberwolves named a finalist for Sports Team of the Year. The Timberwolves are among five finalists, including Inter Miami CF, Kansas City Chiefs, Texas Rangers and Vegas Golden Knights. This is the organization's first nomination for Sports Team of the Year.

The organization, which made back-to-back playoff appearances for the first time in 20 years, is currently in the midst of a historic season on and off the court. Established in 2008, the Sports Business Awards were established by Sports Business Journal to celebrate excellence in sports business. Winners will be announced live during the annual Sports Business Awards ceremony on May 22nd at the Marriott Marquis Times Square in New York City.
