Although some things at the fair, namely food, are expensive, visitors can see top-notch musicians, magicians, comedians, and other entertainers for free.

There are two things we recommend visitors bring when attending the Minnesota State Fair.
My appetite is strong and my wallet is full.
While a Minnesota get-together can involve a lot of expense at the end of the summer, there are plenty of activities that cost nothing at all. On Monday, fair organizers announced the 2024 free entertainment schedule, which includes more than 900 shows staged on the grounds of Falcon Heights.

In addition to the main entertainment stage, on-site events include the All-Star Dogs Splash, the Timberworks Lumberjack Show, the Arts Fair (a showcase of pop-up dance, theater, and music), and the daily State Fair Parade with floats. There are also venues where , marching band, etc.
