The Midwest Gaming Classic brings his 200+ game-themed vendors to the Baird Center, and Broken Bat Brewing celebrates its 7th anniversary. WMSE's popular Rockabilly Chili event features dozens of Milwaukee restaurants competing for the title of “Best Chili.” The new Beer Fest also aims to raise money for Milwaukee County Parks.
April 5-7: Midwest Gaming Classic
When the Midwest Gaming Classic returns to the Baird Center this weekend, you can shop from more than 200 game-themed vendors and experience more than 10,000 games. The convention will feature everything from pinball machines and arcade cabinets to home video game consoles and tabletop games. Compete against your friends in air hockey or your favorite collectible card game. Midwest Gaming Classic has something for every type of gamer. The convention will also feature live music, panel discussions with industry experts, live podcasting, and more. The Midwest Gaming Classic will be held Friday from 6pm to midnight, Saturday from 10am to 8pm, and Sunday from 10am to 5pm. April 6: Broken Bat Brewing 7th Anniversary
Broken Bat Brewing is celebrating its 7th anniversary with a party featuring free food and two new beers. Attendees can enjoy complimentary hot dogs, brats, and burgers throughout the day, then wash it down with a “Pick It” or “Captain Cliché IPA.” Pick It is a 5.5% ABV Blueberry Lemon Kettle Sour with the perfect blend of sweet and tart. “Captain Cliché IPA” is a juicy Cliché IPA with an alcohol content of 6.8%. Broken Bat Brewing Company celebrates its 7th anniversary from noon to 11 p.m.
April 7: WMSE's Rockabilly Chili

The weather has been pretty dreary this week, but WMSE's rockabilly chili will warm you up. Sample chili from over 40 different restaurants, cafes and caterers across Milwaukee and vote for your favorite. Participants will compete for the title of “Best Chili” in a variety of categories, including “Best Meat,” “Best Heat,” “Best Vegetable,” “Most Unique Chili,” and “Best Display.” If you bring 2 or more non-perishable food items to donate to the Hunger Task Force, he will also give you 2 sample tickets. April 7th: It rains in the park
Enjoy unlimited samples from over 20 local breweries at the new Pours for Parks Beer Fest. Breweries from Milwaukee and surrounding areas will be pouring beer in support of a different Milwaukee County Park for each event. At Debut Fest, all funds will go toward supporting Humboldt and his friends at the park. Pours for Parks will be located in the historic Pabst Brewery's Best Place and will feature a VIP session and two general admission sessions. The VIP session will run from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., and ticket holders will receive early access to the event and exclusive VIP samples. VIP tickets are $75. General admission sessions will be held from 12:30pm to 3pm, followed by 4pm to 6:30pm. Tickets for both sessions are $60 and feature 2.5 hours of unlimited beer tasting. April 7: Ladies Rock 2024 Camper Showcase
The 2024 Ladies Rock Camp session has concluded and it's time for campers to show off what they've learned. Company Brewing is hosting the Ladies Rock 2024 Camper Showcase, where he will perform one original song each band wrote during their weekend camping. This is an all-ages show starting at 7 p.m. Admission to the show requires a $10 donation. Ladies Rock Camp is an adult camp for women and people of all genders interested in learning an instrument or forming a band. The Campers then perform original songs with their newly formed band.
