Mark Wahlberg has hinted that an Uncharted sequel is in the works.
The 52-year-old actor will play Victor Sully Sullivan in the 2022 film based on the hit video game series of the same name, and he confirmed that the script is complete and gave a promising update on the progress of the sequel. Announced. He has to start growing his mustache again, the trademark of his alter ego.
Mark told Screen Rant: “I actually got a call today saying they'd sent me a script. I can't grow a real beard or mustache, but they said, “Start growing a mustache. 'It's going to cost a lot,' he said. . ”
“I'm curious to see what the story is and where the adventure will take us. But I'm really looking forward to it. I'm glad that audiences really loved the first one. I know, so let's take a look.”
The “Ted” actor confirmed last year that a script had been written, although there was no official confirmation from Sony.
Mark told The Direct: “I've heard a lot of different ideas. I know someone has written a script and it's still in production, but it's going to be about him growing a mustache the whole time, which makes perfect sense. That's obvious. He's wearing a mustache in the final scene.”
Uncharted received mixed reviews after its release, with Wahlberg's co-star Tom Holland admitting that there were “mistakes” in portraying the main character, Nathan Drake.
The “Spider-Man” actor told GQ: “As soon as you start worrying, 'Do I look good in this shot?' acting becomes more than just playing a character.
“That was an important lesson learned, because sometimes it was more important to make the mark and stand like this and see those biceps bulge than it was to make the mark and go through this scene. That was a mistake, and something that I probably won't do again. ”
