Madonna has announced that she will end her “Celebration Tour'' with a historic free concert in Brazil.
The 65-year-old Queen of Pop announced the news on Monday (March 24-25) that a live show hosted by Itau Apresenta will be held on May 4 at Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro.
“It is being offered free of charge as a thank you to her fans who have celebrated over 40 years of her music through an epic worldwide tour,” the press release states.
The program will also be broadcast live on TV Globo.
This will be Madonna's first concert in Brazil since 2012.
No tickets are required for this event, which will be held in front of the Belmond Copacabana Palace Hotel. Admission is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Before arriving in Brazil, Madonna will perform in Dallas before making stops in Houston, Atlanta, Austin and more.
She will also be on stage for three nights at Miami's Caseya Center from April 6th to 9th, and five nights at Mexico City's Palacio de los Deportes.
Madonna's long-awaited Best of Tour kicked off in October with a two-hour set at London's O2 Arena, where she spoke about her journey back to the stage after being hospitalized in 2023 with a severe bacterial infection.
About her children Lourdes, 27, Rocco, 23, David, 18, Marcy, 18, and twins Stella and Estelle, 11, the singer told fans: Neither did my doctor. That's why all the kids were sitting around me when I woke up. ”
Madonna added of her recovery from illness: And my children always save me. ”
Earlier this month, she spoke about her struggles on tour: It's mentally tough because I'm really talking about my life.
“My heart is on my sleeve. I've fallen off a lot of horses and broken a lot of bones…but nothing can stop me.”
