This mission set out on a voyage to the moon as a customer payload with Intuitive Machines aboard the company's NOVA C lander.Launched by a Space Falcon 9 rocket from Launch Complex 39A in kennedy space center in floridaupon February 15th in 1:05am Eastern Time.
This groundbreaking mission represents a significant milestone in Lone Star's ambitious vision to use the Moon to protect Earth's data. “Independence” represents a new era in data storage and global disaster recovery services.
During its flight to the moon, Lone Star's Independence payload will fly a series of critical flights designed to validate Lone Star's innovative data center concept for Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS). I will take the middle test. These tests are essential to ensure the survivability of the lunar data center as a reliable and secure solution for data backup and restoration on a global scale.
Lone Star is working with Space Florida to store digital data onboard for the state of Florida. The documents sent to and from the spacecraft during this groundbreaking test will be the U.S. Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and Bill of Rights. This mission sets a precedent for future Lone Star data missions.
