Kate Hudson is “ready to take the criticism” that can come with the start of a music career.
The 44-year-old actress has been one of Hollywood's biggest stars for decades, but her debut single “Talk About Love” was released in March, ahead of the album's release, marking the change. For her personally, she admitted that it wasn't actually a “sudden thing.”
She told Britain's HELLO magazine: “It didn't really come out of the blue. I've been writing music all my life. I just never shared it. I was waiting for the right time to do it. And this is what I do.'' I'm excited to share it because it's vulnerable, but I hope it's received with the same warm feeling I felt when I created it. ”
The 'Almost Famous' star, who is the daughter of Hollywood legend Goldie Hawn and singer Bill Hudson, feels singing is more personal than acting and is 'ready' to make the switch. Because of this feeling, he has “always loved singing.”
She said: “It was my first time singing in such an intimate space. It was very unacceptable, but it was really good for me.
“I've always loved singing. It's more personal.” [than acting]. Writing and putting out music that's all about your own words, your life experiences, a little poetry, and hoping people like it is the most vulnerable thing you can do. But I feel like I'm ready to do it. ”
But Kate, who has sons Ryder, 20, and Bingham, 12, with ex-husband Chris Robinson, and Rani, five, with partner Danny Fujikawa, said she doesn't want to give up acting completely. “Never,” he assured fans, saying he still wants to believe he has talent. She lived a “normal life” after years of working in show business.
She said: “I'd like to think otherwise. I like a normal life. I'm a family person. I'm one of those moms who gets up in the morning and makes waffles with whipped cream. I like family life.”
