Jon Bon Jovi is “working hard” to recover from surgery.
The 62-year-old star underwent vocal cord surgery in 2022 and continues to engage in “voice therapy” every chance he gets.
Speaking on Entertainment Tonight, the music icon said: “I work hard every day.
“Nothing matters until I try to get better. It's up to God at this point. I've done everything I can.”
The music star is determined to eventually return to full health.
He said: “We're not going to compromise who we are as a band live because we want to think we're a really good band.
“I sang on the new record. I did MusiCares and it was perfect… When I woke up later that night, it was the first time in 10 years that my voice was the only one in my head – The fear was not there, there was no doubt – and [my wife] Dorothea texted her kids and said, “He's back! “said. ”
Bon Jovi was helped in his recovery by his longtime showbiz friend Bruce Springsteen.
The singer found Springsteen to be a “therapeutic” influence during his recovery.
He previously told Extra. ”[Bruce] He has been like a big brother to me throughout my voice surgery journey. It was one of those really comforting voices that said, “We've got your back, you're going to get through this,” and it was healing. ”
Bon Jovi's struggles are explored in “Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story,” which he previously called a “warts and all” documentary series.
“If we were going to make a movie this big, we didn't want puff pieces,” Bon Jovi said of the unfiltered film, which will be released later this month.
