Jameela Jamil is in a “luxurious position” because she doesn't have any children.
The Good Place actress, who splits her time between Los Angeles and London with partner James Blake, is happy working mostly from home and admits she doesn't have to work much. However, she explained that it was a result of her life choices.
She told the Sunday Times: “Most of my work – press, podcasting, interviews – can now be done in my bedroom. My personal hygiene is no more than peeling off last night's makeup. I only wear clothes from the waist up. I don't have anything to cover my chest. Just select it and you're ready to go.
“My dog is lazy, so I take him out for a walk at 9am. Then I do a four-hour job recording a podcast. That's just life. I don't live beyond my means. I'm in a luxurious position because I choose not to have children and I can work whenever I want. ”
But what the “I Weigh” host doesn't particularly like in her life is interacting with other stars, as she thinks celebrities are “weird.”
She said: “I might have to go to an evening event, but I don't really like it. I have social anxiety and celebrities find it very weird.
“I go to James' shows, but recently I had to take a break from a show in a cemetery because I was scared that a ghost would come out. A medium named Tyler Henry appeared on my podcast. He was performing, so I asked him if there were ghosts watching him during the show.'' I said no, but he said yes. That's the kind of tough question I ask.'' is.”
Jameela has been open about her mental health struggles in the past and has found walking to be extremely beneficial.
She said: “After work, I go for an hour's 'hike', or 'walking' as the British call it.
“My mental health has improved tremendously since I started walking every day.”
The 38-year-old star is having trouble falling asleep. Because she can't stop thinking of ways to help her pet become immortal.
She said, “After dinner we watch TV. I usually fall asleep and then wake up and deny it and gas James for half an hour. I'd rather admit to the murder.'' .”
“In bed, he falls asleep right away, but I lie awake wondering if I can extend a dog's life forever.
“While we sleep with three weighted blankets, I play games on my phone to try not to think about how scary the world is.
“I fall asleep like a monkey clinging to James’ butt on a branch.”
