Little Rock's Actors Theater presents new William Shakespeare production “Romeo and Juliet” The cast is made up of all women and female actors, and the show will open on Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m., Wednesdays through Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., and Sundays at 6:00 p.m. until April 20th, at Little Rock's Quapaw Theater. Park Plaza has partnered with Discovery Museum to solar eclipse watch party, will be held Monday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the top floor of the mall's north parking deck, 6000 W. Markham St. at University Avenue in Little Rock. Discovery Museum educators will provide live narration of the eclipse. The museum will also host a pre-eclipse science show starting at 11:30 a.m. Families will receive free eclipse glasses, have access to a food cart, and participate in science activities, face painting, lawn games, and more. “Ideas Matter” Essay
May 24 is the deadline for Arkansas high school juniors and seniors to submit essays to the Clinton Foundation's annual “Ideas Matter” contest. Arkansans for the Arts, a statewide arts advocacy nonprofit, launches four-city tour town hall meeting Aimed to bring the arts community together and build support for arts advocacy, it will be held at 11 a.m. April 26 at ARTSpace on Main, ARTx3 Campus, 701 Main Street, Pine Bluff. Featured speakers include Jimmy Cunningham, director of tourism development for Pine Bluff Advertising and Promotions and board member and director of the Delta Rhythm and Bayou Alliance. The Alliance is spearheading a heritage tourism initiative focused on music, art and bayou history along Route 65 and Route 82 from Pine Bluff to Greenville, Michigan.
