arkansas ballet season
Ballet Arkansas' 2024-25 season includes two full-scale ballet productions with the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra at the Robinson Center Performance Hall in Little Rock. This is Peter Tchaikovsky's annual performance. “The Nutcracker” December and Sergei Prokofiev “Romeo and Juliet” During February.

◼️ October 11-13: “Bizet's Carmen: A Searing Story of Passion and Betrayal” (World Premiere), Arkansas Art Museum, 501 E. Ninth St., Little Rock. It will be performed live, based on Georges Bizet's opera music (details to be determined).

◼️ April 25-27: Nouveau, Arkansas Art Museum announces “groundbreaking premiere” of traditional ballet works (including Igor Stravinsky’s “The Rite of Spring”) with performances and live music (TBD), courtesy of the Stella Boyle Smith Trust.
◼️ April 25-27: “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” Arkansas Art Museum, featuring incidental music from William Shakespeare’s plays by Felix Mendelssohn.
The company plans to hold community casting auditions for “Bizet's Carmen” from August 16th to 18th, and is open to audiences 14 and older. For “The Nutcracker,” ages 6 and up. For Romeo and Juliet, ages 9 and up. In the case of “A Midsummer Night's Dream,'' the target age is 8 years old and above.
Tickets for “The Nutcracker” go on sale May 17th. In most other productions he is July 1st. “Romeo and Juliet”, August 1st.
