Jacksonville, Florida – Jacksonville’s biggest Cinco de Mayo celebration will be held Sunday.
The Duval de Mayo Festival is held at Riverwalk Artist Square on the riverfront under the Fuller Warren Bridge.
News4JAX spoke with founder Charles Wagoner to talk about his excitement.
“We've been doing this for five years and we host events here in Jacksonville. We love tacos and tequila. We've had the largest taco and tequila festival in the state, but… , we wanted to host an event on Cinco de Mayo,” Wagoner said. “We have over 80 types of tequilas in stock.”
Attendees can get more than just tequila.

This year's festival will also feature live entertainment, more than 25 taco makers, live muralists, salsa dance lessons and fireworks.
“We expect 5,000 to 7,000 visitors throughout the day. Gates will be open from noon to 10 p.m.,” Wagoner said.
Safety and security are our top priorities.
Wagoner is working with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office and a private security company to monitor the crowd and keep everything under control.
This event also has a good purpose.
“This event is produced by my family’s foundation, the Wagoner Foundation. For each festival, we choose a charity to which we give all proceeds back, but this year we chose a walk-off charity. They are a nonprofit organization in Duval County that teaches young children and young adults how to play baseball,” Wagoner said.
A full day of food, fun, and a little tequila, all for a good cause.
