Billie Eilish's new album is almost ready.
The 22-year-old singer gave a major update about her long-awaited third studio album, hinting that fans won't have to wait much longer.
“The album has been mastered,” she wrote on Instagram, alongside a photo of herself wearing a black balaclava with white stars.
Mastering a record is usually done at the end of the recording process, but Billy has yet to reveal any details about the collection.
This will be his third film following his 2019 debut, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, and followed by Happy Than Ever two years later.
She also released a two-song EP, Guitar Songs, in 2022 and dropped “What Was I Made For?” It was included on last year's “Barbie” soundtrack.
Back in September, Billie teased her next album while admitting there was “a lot of music coming.”
She told The Cookout: “There’s a lot of music coming. There’s a whole album of music coming.
“We're in the final stages of production right now, so that doesn't mean it's going to be released soon, but we're getting there and it's very exciting.”
Three months later, she was tight-lipped again, but revealed that the LP was “almost finished.”
Appearing on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” she said, “This new album is almost finished. So I'm sure we'll know more at some point, but right now I'm not going to say anything. No,” he said.
Billie told herself after her second album that it was over, and reinvigorated her creativity with “What Was I Made For?''.
At a songwriter roundtable, she recalled: “We've been trying, but it hasn't always been the way we wanted it to be. To be honest, I thought, 'Damn, maybe I'm at my peak and I'm gone.' Don't know how to write anymore? ”
A phone call from Barbie director Greta Gerwig and a request to write a song for the soundtrack gave her the boost she needed.
She added: “Really, honestly, Greta saved me. That got us out of there, and I quickly got inspired and wrote a lot more after that.”
