Beyoncé's family is mourning the death of her uncle Roland Martin Beijins.
Roland, known as Butch, passed away at the age of 77 over the weekend (February 24-25), and the sad news was shared by his sister Beyoncé's mother, Tina Knowles, who expressed her love for her brother. He posted a comment of condolence. Instagram.
she wrote: “My beautiful brother Butch went to be with God this weekend. He will be sorely missed!”
Tina added of her brother, “He was a career woman in the Air Force. He loved riding motorcycles, had a black belt in karate, and had the most beautiful green eyes and figure.” .
“He was a great storyteller. He had a wonderful wife, Janet, a devoted daughter, Dana, and two beautiful grandchildren, Yvette and Roland. He was much loved. Butch Roland Martin (Butch )・Sail on the Bayins” June 1946 to February 2024, rest in peace.
This family tragedy comes after Tina and Beyoncé spent several days together in New York, attending a fashion show with the singer's sister Solange and watching her 19-year-old son Daniel Julez Smith Jr. walk down the clothing runway. It happened later. Luar announced this on February 13th.
It's also a busy time for Beyoncé as she prepares for the release of her new country album, Renaissance Act II, on March 29th.
She announced her new music project during the Super Bowl and released two new singles minutes later, “Texas Whole 'Em” and “16 Carriage.”
Beyoncé has since made history as the first black woman to top Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart with “Texas Hold'em.”
But not everyone was happy with the pop superstar's take on country music, including outspoken rapper Azealia Banks, who called the project a “huge musical setback.”
In a post on Instagram, she declared: You are also setting yourself up to be ridiculed. Country music has a theatrical element.
“they [country] Critics aren't going to just accept the ugly blonde wig and the bullying from Jay-Z. It gives me great musical emotion. (sic) …
“Yes, black girls can make country music too, but they just don’t really push the buttons.”
