Bad Bunny has been branded “cruel and irresponsible” by animal rights group PETA for riding a real horse on stage.
The 29-year-old rapper and singer greeted fans as he entered the opening night of his “Most Wanted” tour on horseback while leading an animal into the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, on Wednesday night (February 21). surprised me. They moved to center stage as music played and the audience cheered, but PETA has now condemned the stunt and asked residents not to use living creatures in their shows.
An animal rights group posted a video of the stunt on TikTok with the caption: “Bad Bunny: Using horses on tour is cruel and irresponsible. The horses, the fans, and you could have all been hurt.” I attached it.
PETA added: “'Estamos bien' is prohibited.” [we’re not good] for this irresponsible act. @Bad Bunny, why did you think it was a good idea to expose a horse to the noise, lights, fog, and screams of thousands of people?
“The horses seem stressed and clearly don't want to be there. Don't let animals participate in shows. They want to live in peace and not be exploited for shows.”
Bad Bunny featured the horse again on Friday night (Feb. 24-23) in his second show of the tour at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The horse is headed to Phoenix, Arizona this week to appear in two shows at the Footprint Center on Tuesday (February 24-27) and Wednesday (February 24-28), but the horse remains in the show. There is no word on whether he will participate.
Bad Bunny has not yet responded to PETA's statement.
PETA previously criticized fellow musician CeeLo Green after he fell from a horse at a party last year.
PETA Senior Vice President Lisa Lang said of the incident: “It doesn't take a genius to know that a horse is not suitable for a noisy, crowded party where slippery floors and strobe lights can get the horse excited. , PETA hopes it will bring him reason and compassion.”
