Actress Anya Taylor-Joy has confirmed that she secretly married her partner Malcolm McRae in New Orleans in 2022.
The Queen's Gambit star told fans that she married her “best friend” at an April Fool's Day ceremony two years ago.
She shared photos and videos of the vampire-themed ceremony, which featured an “anatomically correct” cake in the shape of a human heart.
“Happy 2nd (1st) Anniversary, my love… you are the coolest,” the actress wrote in the caption.

“Yes, these are anatomically correct heart cakes,” she added, referring to a plate containing a real heart-shaped cake inside an apparently fake pool of blood.
In her post, Taylor-Joy referred to herself as “Vampire Lestat,” a reference to the character in Anne Rice's novel “Interview with the Vampire,” which is also set in New Orleans.
Model Cara Delevingne and photographer Sebastien Faena were among the guests, and their wedding dresses were designed by Dior.
Actor and musician McRae also posted a photo from the event on his social media on Tuesday, writing, “I still love you, and somehow I always will, and somehow it will never end. (Yesterday's) 2 Happy anniversary, beautiful,” he wrote.
The couple hosted a large wedding celebration for their friends in Venice last October.
Although it had previously been speculated that the event was a wedding, this is the first time the couple has revealed that they actually got married in April 2022.
Since her breakthrough role in Netflix's chess drama “The Queen's Gambit” in 2020, Taylor-Joy has starred in “Last Night in Soho,” “Super Mario Bros. Movie” and “Dune: Part 2'' and is scheduled to appear in “Furiosa: The Mad Max Saga'' next month.
