Actor Eugene Levy received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, along with his “second son,” 25 years after starring in “American Pie.”
Levy, who co-created the comedy series Schitt's Creek with his son Daniel, accepted the honor alongside his real-life and on-screen family.
“Unfortunately, my son Daniel couldn't be here today,” the Canadian actor said.
“My second son Jim is here from American Pie. Jason, we're really happy to have you here,” he added.
Levy played Noah Levenstein, the father of Biggs' character Jim, in the 1999 hit film and its sequel.
This coming-of-age comedy had some peek-through-the-finger moments and was infamous for a scene featuring a freshly baked apple pie.
Jennifer Coolidge, Seann William Scott, and Alyson Hannigan also starred.
Levy was joined at Friday's star unveiling by his Schitt's Creek star's wife, Catherine O'Hara, and his own daughter Sarah Levy, who plays Twyla Sands on the Emmy-winning TV show.
Levy, who explained that Daniel was filming in Bulgaria, joked that it sounded like a plot “out of Schitt's Creek.”
Sarah Levy introduced her father at a ceremony on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles, recalling visiting him on set as a child.
O'Hara, who also starred in Home Alone, described Levy as “a gentleman in every sense of the word.”
“We all know and love the treasure trove of original, thought-provoking, heartfelt, and outrageously hilarious entertainment that Eugene Levy has gifted us over the years. ” she said.
Levy, who also appeared in “Cheap by the Dozen 2'' and “Father of the Bride Part II,'' said, “Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.'' “It's as far away as you can get from there.”
He paid tribute to his wife Deborah Devine, saying, “You can't put your name on a star on Hollywood Boulevard unless someone has your back, and Debs has had my back for 47 years.” Without you, there would be no star.''
“How rewarding has it been to live a life of making people laugh?” he added.
