Singer and TV presenter Aditya Narayan dominated the headlines last week when he punched a fan and threw away his mobile phone during a live concert at Chhattisgarh University. The incident sparked massive outrage against Narayan.
Amid countless theories on social media about the incident, a photo of a university official gifting a new mobile phone to a fan, Lofkesh Chandravanshi, has gone viral.

Social media took stock of the university's attitude towards students and criticized Narayan for not addressing the incident. One user wrote, “This gesture should have been done by Mr. Aditya Narayan and not by the university side. Aditya Narayan's career didn't go well so it looks like he is trying to get an entry in Bigg Boss.” Another said. A user commented, “Aditya Narayan should be sued for this.”
A third user jokingly commented: “Now I'm going to use the same phone to play games during university lectures.”
The controversy started during Aditya Narayan's live performance at Rungta R2 University in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh. A video that went viral showed the singer hitting a fan with a microphone, snatching her phone and throwing it away. He continued to perform after that.
