WASHINGTON (CNN) — Singer Beyoncé gifted Vice President Kamala Harris tickets to her 2023 concert tour via FedEx Field, financial records revealed Wednesday.
The disclosure was made through annual disclosures required of the president and vice president. The documents show no notable changes in the sources of income for Harris or President Joe Biden.
The tickets, valued at $1,655.92, were for the pop star's August 2023 tour in the Washington, D.C., area, according to a social media post made by the vice president at the time.
“Thank you for the fun date night, @Beyoncé!” Vice President he wrote in a social media post. Along with a photo of her and the second gentleman.
The financial disclosure report also revealed that the vice president was gifted tickets by ESPN to the Cricket Celebration Bowl game in Atlanta in December 2023. Tickets for the game were reportedly worth $1,890. Harris' alma mater, Howard University, lost the game to Florida A&M University, but the vice chancellor appeared in the ESPN broadcast booth to talk about his experience as an undergraduate at Howard University.
The vice president also reported receiving $234.13 in royalties for his 2019 memoir, “The Truths We Hold,” and $8,254 in royalties for his children's book, “Superheroes Are Everywhere,” also published in 2019.
Biden did not declare any gifts in his financial disclosure report, also released Wednesday. Biden reported that he received interest on several accounts he received in 2023, including one account that generated income between $15,001 and $50,000. .
The president also listed mortgage loans in the debt section of his report, ranging in amount from $250,001 to $500,000, which the report says were incurred in 2013. His interest rate on that mortgage from TD Bank is 3.375%.
The vice president also lists mortgage loans ranging from $1,000,001 to $5,000,000 in his financial disclosure. The interest rate on that mortgage that occurred in 2020 is 2.625%.
First lady Dr. Jill Biden reports receiving a salary from Northern Virginia Community College, where she has taught since 2009, but the amount is not listed on the form.
The filing indicates that Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff received a salary from Georgetown University, but does not say how much he received. The White House previously said Emhoff taught law classes at Georgetown University Law Center. The report also shows a number of bond purchases and sales were made by Emhoff in 2023.
