Sphere Entertainment announced on Monday that it has acquired all remaining shares it did not previously own in Holoplot GmbH, a Berlin-based global leader in 3D audio technology.
Sphere first invested in Holoplot in 2018, when the two companies partnered to develop Sphere Immersive Sound powered by Holoplot. This is a loudspeaker technology that uses 3D audio beamforming and wave field synthesis to deliver crystal clear, individual sound to every seat in the venue. Sphere when he opened in Las Vegas with U2 in September 2023.
Holoplot will remain based in Berlin and continue to expand and serve its customers and clients as a wholly owned subsidiary of Sphere Entertainment. The Sphere is currently hosting Dead and Company at its Las Vegas venue.
