A night in Old New Orleans
“The event was magical! The (Omni) Royal Orleans room was breathtaking with immaculate white (and) the most beautiful flower arrangements.” Such is the description given by did Alice Reese Spring Fiesta Gala. From around noon to late at night on that memorable day, the past was remembered with an eye to the future.
The invitation to the 88th Annual “A Night in Old New Orleans” Cotillion Ball was extended by the New Orleans Spring Fiesta Association in honor of royalty. Jerry Wayne StoweHe was called Le Roi II (the second king of the association) and Miss Chloe Jewel Stowe, La Reine LXXXVIII, Queen of the New Orleans Spring Fiesta and daughter of Mr. Reine. craig alan stow And Ms. Carolyn Frances Stowe.
A few weeks ago, the Society held a Past Queens Silver Festival at the Spring Fiesta Townhouse on St. Ann Street in memory of Miss Rita Holland, Queen of Flowers of 1939, and Miss Rita Holland. We held a coffee. katherine marie zimmerman, the 2023 Spring Fiesta Queen and debutant of the latest season.she is the daughter of Mrs. Paul Michael Zimmerman and the late Mr. Zimmermann. Mr. Martin, the first King of the Spring Fiesta, was also honored. CJ (Camier Joseph) Branda.

Further notable events over the course of the celebration were the Spring Fiesta House at noon, a parade in Vieux Carré, a stop in Jackson Square for a courtroom presentation, and then the Omni Royal Orleans. Betsy Ushkrat NOPD Captain Legion Roberts, Cecil Valentine Vaughn Curran, Camille Rosalie Vaughn Curran, SF Board Chairman Jerry Stowe (King) and dozens of board members. The highlight of the lovely ball was the first dance at court and the grand promenade that preceded the dinner and dancing. Congratulations were heard throughout the night for the monarchs and their entourage as they welcomed the arrival of spring.
From forward to backward
When Jefferson Beautification Inc. promoted its “Back to the '50s Gala,” “hound dogs” and cool cats made a festive appearance. Parkway His Promenade XXXII presented by Metairie Bank is held at Chateau Golf & Country Club and comes with limited time offers. For the annual fundraiser, they booked a DJ to play the nostalgic sounds of Fats Domino, Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly, King and, of course, Elvis Presley. His lookalike just wanted to be kind and loving to everyone, and continued to perform for an hour.
Dance moves included twists, swims, and jitterbugs, and costumes highlighted “greaser” T-shirts, letterman jackets, and polka-dot poodle skirts. “All in the name of 'making Jefferson Parish more beautiful,'” supporters said. Since the 1990s, Jefferson Beautification has completed projects totaling more than $3 million, including park benches, mazes, statues, walkways, and butterfly gardens.
Attractions in 2024 include a 50/50 raffle, prize parade, Tree of Treasures game, photo booth, silent auction, and live auction featuring paintings by visitors. James Michalopoulos, filled the modern bill. An all-time favorite over the decades has been the venue's burgers and root beer floats.
The CEO of Jefferson Beautification was the one making a fuss about retro. The mountain of gratitude is the target John LeBlanc and mike gennaro, their respective Metairie Bank CEO and President. All of which made “The Wonderful 50s” enjoyable.

Presentations by attendees james douglas hislop, “Nuit à l'Opéra Français'' billed a recent Sunday soirée held at BK Historic House & Gardens to celebrate the Nous Foundation. Turning the pages of Melodious Time focuses on New Orleans in 1900 and perhaps the most important institution of the city's Francophone culture, the French Opera House. The NF fundraiser evoked that aura for one night at Vieux Carré with music, champagne, bilingual chatter and attire. Many dressed in their “best” for the pre-gala from 5-6 p.m., a selection of oysters and caviar by Little Moon Oyster Ranch, chamber music, and the three-hour main event.
Twilight fit perfectly into the atmosphere of the gala. The subtle atmosphere inside the historic home was further enhanced by flameless candles, including a chandelier, and flower arrangements by BK President. larry schmidt. Bistro tables beckon outside in the courtyard and flowerbeds.There are also special features such as performances by violinists. Francis ScullyOpera Creole, amber rachel & The Sweet Potatoes, and three dancers with a cabaret kick.
