kevin spacey is hitting back at Britain's Channel 4 over a new documentary series detailing sexual misconduct allegations against him.
On Thursday, the disgraced actor issued a lengthy denunciation of the network and the upcoming “Spacey Unmasked” series. X's messageformerly Twitter.
“Last week, I asked again and again. @channel 4 Please allow me at least seven days to respond to the allegations made against me dating back 48 years and provide sufficient details to investigate these matters,” Spacey wrote. Accusations of sexual abuse by multiple men derailed her Hollywood career.
“Channel 4 believes that requiring a response within seven days to new anonymised and non-specific allegations is a 'fair opportunity' for me to refute the allegations made against me. “We rejected it on the grounds that it is,” he continued.
The former “House of Cards” star went on to say, “I'm not going to sit through a one-sided 'documentary' on a dying network and get attacked,” calling it a dangerous move. “A desperate attempt to increase viewer ratings”
“Every time I was given time and proper forum to defend myself, the allegations failed under scrutiny and I was acquitted,” he added.
He said his responses to the series will be published on his X account this weekend.
A representative for Mr. Spacey did not immediately respond to HuffPost's request for comment.
The American Beauty actor's passionate message comes after Channel 4 released the trailer for Spacey Unmasked last week.
The two-part documentary focuses on Spacey's “horrible fall amid allegations of inappropriate sexual behavior,” and reveals that he has “spoken to multiple men… about his experiences with Kevin Spacey,” Almost all of them have never talked about it before.” to the official explanation.
In 2023, a jury acquitted the Oscar winner of sexual assault after a four-week trial in London.
spacey was facing Nine charges related to alleged incidents dating back to 2001which includes multiple charges of sexual and indecent assault and one charge of causing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity without consent.

Spacey was initially ordered by a judge to pay $31 million after being kicked off the hit show in 2017.
“Spacey Unmasked” will air on Mondays and Tuesdays on Channel 4 in the UK. It will also be distributed in the US on the streaming service Max. The streaming distribution date has not yet been announced.
