Rev up your engines and get ready to roar!
This weekend, Monster Jam is coming to Colorado Springs with a 12,000-pound monster truck and tearing up the place at the Broadmoor World Arena. The extreme motorsports show will feature approximately six drivers competing for a spot in the 2024 Monster Jam World Finals.
Drivers will display vehicles at the show, including trucks such as the Grave Digger, Megalodon and El Toro Loco. The truck flies while the driver steers the vehicle to do wheelies, backflips, and races.

The new show “Men on Boats” features an all-female cast as a way to satirize 1800s male explorers who set out to discover lands that had already been discovered. The University of Colorado Colorado Springs School of Theater will open a show Friday at the Ent Center for the Arts.
“People like carnage,” said Dragon driver Joe Dennis. “Big airs, big cool saves, cool balancing tricks on two wheels, I think that’s what people want to see.”
Prior to the Saturday and Sunday shows, fans can stop by the Monster Jam Pit Party to meet the drivers, collect autographs and get an up-close look at the trucks. The pre-show party will also feature several family-friendly activities, including a sandbox play area, tire demonstrations, coloring and temporary tattoo stations, and photo opportunities.
“One of the great things I enjoy is meeting the fans, traveling all over the country and meeting people who share our collective interest in Monster Jam trucks,” Dennis said. “I was able to meet them and learn their stories and how Monster Jam impacted them and touched their lives.”
Now, let's get started. “We're all excited to see what we can do with this truck,” Dennis said.
“I’m looking forward to competing and honing my skills and getting more seat time to get better,” said Dennis, who is in his first year of competition.

Theater Works' new production of the classic 1603 tragedy “Othello,” traditionally set during the war between Venice and Turkey in the late 16th century, is set in the 1860s during the Civil War. It opens Thursday at the Ent Center for the Arts.
And whether you're going for the first time or are a seasoned veteran, be sure to be punctual.
“It's very unlikely that it won't start on time. But you'll want to do your best to get to your seat on time, because it's going to be exciting,” Dennis said. “Be sure to pull out your phone to remember these moments. Take a video and hashtag Monster Jam and hashtag your driver. We'll show you some cool fan-captured videos during the event. Because I love reposting moments.”
