He is now 'Citizen Piff'.
I salute you john van der put, a Las Vegas success story living the American dream. We know him on stage as pif the magic dragon At Flamingo.
The satin-clad comic magician was sworn in as a U.S. citizen Friday at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services in Las Vegas.
Taking exams is not at the top of Pihu's skill set.
“You're asked 10 questions about American history and you have to answer seven correctly,” Van der Putt said on Saturday. “There's a reason I'm a demon dragon. I'm not good at tests.”
Would-be citizens ask what the president's Cabinet will do, who will sign the bill, and the names of at least three of the original 13 U.S. colonies.
On Friday, Pihu was under fire after receiving poor test results. He got the first seven correct and went home in the (brave) free.
“I didn’t have to worry about the next three,” said the proud American.
with showgirl Jade Simone And alongside that, the revered Chihuahua Mr. Piffles, van der Put's Piff persona is a phenomenon. The character has been elevated from a supporting role in “Vegas Nocturne” at Cosmopolitan a decade ago to a residency at Flamingo Showroom, at least until the end of this year.
Van der Put said that although she passed the test with flying colors, the citizenship exam was “quite stressful”.
Van der Put, who is from London and was a top 10 finalist on America's Got Talent in 2015, said: “Basically you sit behind a screen and decide whether or not to become an American citizen.'' He's a man.'' I'm not going to say whether the free tickets had anything to do with it, but it cost a lot of money for merchandise. ”
