Las Vegas loves cover bands. The city is very popular with magicians, with more than 20 magicians headlining on and off the Strip. We're drawn to intimate retreats, semi-secret parlor performances, and proven concepts.
Enjoy all this and more at the new 1923 Live nightspot and live entertainment bastion at The Venetian's Grand Canal Shops.The venue is a spin-off noel bowman's Temperance bar in the Shops at Mandalay Bay, 1923.
The 1923 Live experience will open for private events at the end of May. His two ticketed shows, which are open to the public, tentatively open on June 7th. “1923” is his 1920s decor of the room. The 8,000 square foot venue overlooks the Grand Canal Gondola.

Other than The Docsiders' cover of Olivia Newton-John's “Magic,” these shows are completely unrelated.
Bowman also owns Minus 5 Ice Bar at Mandalay Bay and the Grand Canal Shops club in the basement of the new 1923 Live venue. The only access to the club is through his two private elevators located in the ice bar.
Bowman's vision is to reinvigorate Las Vegas' lounge scene with Docsiders in a 300-seat performance space. Mr. Levit is headlining his 60-seat lounge. More live entertainment will be developed at this hybrid public/private venue.
Levit is new to the Las Vegas scene.The magician's show will be directed by a Tony-appointed producer. Christopher Allen and Kevin Duda Produced in partnership with veteran Vegas producers Adam Steck and Alex Schechter of SPI Entertainment. Levit developed the concept with creative director Benjamin Schrader.
Levit frequently appears on L.A.'s The Magic Castle, hosts the VH1 reality series “Celebracadabra,” and has appeared on “Now You See Me,” “Control” and “The Incredible Burt Wonderstone.” .
The format of “Legerdemain” (a magical reference to deceptive and subtle artistry) is similar to “Ghost Stories” at Bowman's Mandalay Bay Club and “The Magician's Study” to be performed at an undisclosed venue at the MGM Resort. '' is similar in atmosphere.
“This is a show that not only features magician performers, but also hosts and bartenders who host the night,” Levitt says. “As these two characters interact with each other and the audience, there are asides and banter between them. The show features intimate magic tricks balanced with comedic and interactive elements. There are moments of magic.”
For Steck, the “unveiling” of the show was a showcase in January 2022. Wassa Coulibaly Baobab Stage in Town Square.
“I went with my wife, braai, and we were shocked. We’ve always had in the back of our minds where that fits in,” Steck says. “When Noel asked if we wanted to be a part of this project, this was the first act we thought would be perfect for a 50-60 person capacity show.”
Docksiders has become popular and well-traveled over the past two years, quickly becoming a favorite of the Las Vegas entertainment community.
Along with his wife, vocalist Erin, Sucher fronts a breezy, upbeat band.They sample yacht rock favorites Toto, Lionel Richie, Christopher Ross, Hall and Oates, Michael McDonald, Kenny Loggins, and (for Erin) Olivia Newton-John.
Wearing blue blazers, white slacks and captain's hats, The Docsiders performed at Rio's Duomo for eight weeks starting in September 2022. The show then performed at Notorieti Live from May to November 2023, headlining Sand Dollar Downtown at the Plaza, where it caused a storm. The band completed two successful tours of the United States, ending in Casablanca, Mesquite on March 8th.
Sucher, a three-time Grammy nominee and production expert, is using the 1923 Live show to jumpstart Docsiders' opportunities elsewhere.
“We hope that joining 1923 Live will allow us to promote our touring shows in a different way,” says Sucher. The Venetian also wishes to patronize locals by offering 3 hours of free parking. ” He does not mean boats, but vehicles, people.
