The series, curated by Duchess Meghan, will “celebrate the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining and friendship”.
Deadline adds that the series will be directed by Michael Steed, who also directed Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown, and Leah Harriton, who produced Selena Gomez's HBO cooking show Selena & the Chef, will serve as showrunner. Ta.
The other series will apparently “give viewers unprecedented access to the world of professional polo.”
Harry has been playing the sport for years and regularly appears in charity matches, including the flagship fundraiser for Sentebale, the charity he co-founded with Lesotho's Prince Seiso in 2006.
According to Deadline, a statement about the show said, “Primarily known for its aesthetic and social scenes, this series pulls back the curtain on the grit and passion of the sport, capturing players and everything they need to compete at the highest level.” Stated.
It added that the Sussexes will serve as executive producers on the project, with Milos Baracs serving as showrunner.
Titles and release dates for the two shows are expected to be announced in the coming months.
Bela Bajaria, Netflix's chief content officer, said at the Next on Netflix event in February that the couple has several projects in development.
Furthermore, she added: “They’re working on things that aren’t scripted…and they’re actually doing a ton of development.
“They've got movies in development, they've got (scripted) series in production as well. “Movies, TV shows, and some unscripted shows, all in very early development. But hey, the movie is in development. It’s wonderful.”
